Is That Hunger—or Is Your Brain Talking to You About Food?

You finished eating. You know you’re full.

Then your mind says:

“Okay…now we need something sweet.”

“No, we don’t. I’m not hungry.”

“Just have a little.”

“I really don’t need anything.”

“Then just have some yogurt. That’s healthy.”

“Well…maybe just a small bowl.”

And somehow, five minutes after you finished eating, you’re standing in front of the refrigerator having a full conversation in your head that nobody else can hear.

So, what is all the hype about food noise?

Maybe it’s because women are finally talking about something that has been going on inside our heads for years and years!

The thoughts. The reminders. The arguments. The negotiations. The little loopholes. The strange things our minds say that we would never dream of repeating out loud.

We noticed what we ate. We blamed ourselves for eating it. But we probably completely missed the whole conversation that happened before it.

And shame made sure we didn’t compare notes.

We didn’t talk about the food we ate alone in the car, the McDonald's charge we didn’t want anyone to see, the wrapper we buried in the trash, or the evidence we cleaned up before we went home.

We hid those things so well that we stopped seeing them as thoughts and patterns happening inside our heads. We started believing they were part of who we were.

Weak. Sneaky. Out of control. Undisciplined.

And somehow, each of us believed we were the only woman in the world who did things like this.

I don’t believe that anymore.

Let’s bust this thing wide open!

Hey y’all! I’m Rhonda Jean, and I’m creating something I’ve been dreaming up as more women finally begin talking about what food noise really sounds like.

I call it the Food Noise Lab.

I want to understand the real conversations women have inside their heads around food—not just what they ate, but what was said before, during, and afterward.

Not so we can judge anyone’s choice or tell her what she should have done.

These hidden conversations need to come into the light so thousands of women can finally realize:

“Wait…my mind does that too. Maybe I’m not weak, undisciplined, or alone.”

I want you to read two, honest, real-life conversations about what actually went on inside a woman’s head when she was thinking about eating.

They aren’t cleaned-up summaries. They include the funny parts, the uncomfortable parts, the strange little arguments—and the parts shame told her never to admit.

I’d love to send them to you.

Read them and see if anything sounds familiar.

Answer a couple of simple questions if you have a couple of minutes, tell me one story, send me a one liner, or randomly message me the next time you catch one of these conversations happening.

There is nothing to buy, and this will never become homework.

Most importantly, I will never judge you or tell you what you should have done.

Your name will never be published, shared, or connected to your story in anything we create.
